Day 20

Not much of an update... But the water's turning into a shade of Lipton Tea.. And how ironic is that, cuz the jar has 'tea' labelled to it!!!! Maybe I should market the liquid at 'Spricken's Tea' or something like that.. Ha... Btw, most of the meat are falling apart, I'm starting to see big pieces of fat (like I am) floating to the top, and chunks of meat sinking to the bottom. I doubt I'll be changing it's solution anytime soon.

Day 16

Spricken's falling apart at a rapid speed. I fear that when week 13 comes, Spricken will be nothing but bones and piles of flesh... How sad.. I can imagine the stink.. Urgh...

Day 13

Aye.. I know I haven't been updating much, but here's the current scoop on Spricken.
Right now she's feeling a lil' bloated (ok, maybe VERY bloated). Her skin and meat are tearing off in chunks, and the bodily oil is floating to the top.

I'm quite happy to see that her claws are finally detaching.. Quite sick of me, but that goes to show that Sprite is dangerous (or maybe the fact that she's a biodegradable piece of meat). Oh blah blah blah... I hope nothing's left of her by week 13.

I think I'll be changing her solution soon... gotta find a way to keep all the pieces of meat... perhaps I'll freeze it. HAHAHA

Day 7

Aha... It has been exactly 1 week since the birth of Spricken (my sources indicate that Spricken should be approximately 5+ years old, since the average death age for a human is 75 years old). I know my calculations may be wrong (Spricken will only survive for 13 weeks before she gets dumped into the rubbish chute). But oh well...

Anyway, I changed Spricken's juice. The last time I changed it was about 2 days ago. I didn't bother to post pictures then because the water was absolutely cloudy. Nearly opaque I must say. I made a mistake by not removing the sediments before adding in new Sprite. And sad to say, I ran out of it, so I couldn't change it the 2nd time.

Something interesting, while I was changing her water, I used a pair of disposable (OF COURSE!!!!) chopsticks to hold her back while draining her soiled juice. Somehow I managed to poke her, and guess what?! SHE FELT LIKE KONNYAKU JELLY!!!!! Really.. She's that spongey and bouncy. Kinda disgusting actually.. The stench was bearable, but it smelt a tad like sulpuric acid. I almost gagged (my sense of smell is super good).

So... that was 2 days ago. I just bought new Sprite. I drained her carefully (getting rid of all the sediments), and I noticed how pretty she looked... Apparently her skin's nearly transluscent (please take note of foot). How nice is that? Spricken's the chicken version of Fann Wong with really fair skin. HAHAHA...

She looks more plasticky-jelly-floaty now, and she's starting to shed more skin and flesh... DIET FOR YA!!! I'm happy... :)

Day 2

Spricken is starting to get gross now... I see dandruff-like flakes floating around in the solution. And I think Sprite acts like a skin & meat exfoliator, perhaps we could try that too. Fill up a whole bathtub with Sprite and immerse ourselves in it for 4 hours... We'll taste nice too!

Btw, I don't know about chemical reactions and all, but there's a huge pile of weird looking bubbles forming in certain spots (especially under fat and skin layers).. They look like some kind of frog's nest (bubbles yeah.. but with a leathery surface)

Day 1

Hey guys... I think Spricken's a girl.. Apparently Spricken's menstruating..
And Spricken gives of lotsa gas.. Maybe it's Sprite (yes.. duh), but Spricken's releasing gas bubbles too.. The bubbles look pretty cute... floating upwards in strands.

Well, I ought to write an insight to this sick experiment of mine...
You see, my lecturer (Prof. Scott Hessels) decided that all of us should do a 13 week temporal log of any item, thing, habit.. bla bla bla that would change over time.

I had SO many ideas, but apparently most of them revolved around decay. At first, I wanted to grow a capsicum plant. But I think that's so kindergarten-like... ya know? It's just like growing 'tau-gay', 'cept that the plant would be bigger, greener, and more delicious.. (yes... I intend to harvest the fruits of my labor... PUN INTENDED)

My second idea consisted of watching a home-made Christmas ornament shrinking and rotting over time. To be specific, that ornament is actually an orange stuffed with cloves all around (the scent is supposedly the key factor). But you can't record scent, and besides, I wouldn't want flies and maggots crawling in my house. It's treachery to make such a nice-smelling object turn foul.

Then came an idea.. I was wondering about the urban legend of Coke (Coca Cola.. not cocaine you buffoon). Many of them claim that Coke's strong enough to clean a dirty toilet bowl, dissolve a T-Bone steak in 2 days, and in addition to that, it's been said that Coke is used to remove blood from highway accidents... I think it's all hogwash.

And there you go, that's how I got my final idea. Instead of using Coke (cuz it's way too dark), I'll be using Sprite as my dissolvent, and a piece of chicken thigh and foot as the thing to be dissolved (argh.. I forgot what's that called). After all, it's all SODA anyway... Sodas are not good for your teeth... They corrode the enamel and that leads to tooth decay!!!

Anyways, I call the chickens in my bottle, 'Spricken' because it's actually a combination of 'Sprite' & 'Chicken'... Besides it's CATCHY!!!
